We headed out to Topanga for the show reception, but first I wanted to paint out there. We went up some steep winding road and I was afraid I was going to run out of gas and the lighting was very hazy. But we finally found this lovely spot that I knew about from when I used to come up here for Hellerwork…a long time ago. No sooner than we set up and a gang of motorcyclists show up, “popping wheelies” and just generally causing a ruckus. Good thing B was with me and good thing they left! After I finished, we headed out to the show. Here’s a photo. My painting is the little one at the top right.
For an outfit I was painting in, it was okay…but then I threw a blanket on the wet palette in the back seat by accident. Paint has a way of finding itself in places other than intended.
